Circle of Security
A four-week course to strengthen caregiver-child relationships and understanding.
Next course starts on May 5.
What is the Circle of Security?
Aotearoa Baby Clinic offers courses in the Circle of Security parenting model. This programme can help parents understand their children’s behaviours and emotional needs. It can also help foster children's sense of security to help them develop into healthy and emotionally resilient people.
All parents can feel lost at times about what their child might need from them.
The Circle of Security Parenting™ programme is based on decades of research about how we can support and strengthen parent-child relationships.
Circle of Security™ is a relationship-based early intervention programme. It is designed to enhance attachment security and deepen the emotional connection between caregivers and their children. It can also help you understand each individual child's emotional needs.
Nicky Cooper is the licensed facilitator who will lead your four-week Circle of Security® course. Nicky works with parents and caregivers to help you:
Understand your child’s emotional world
Learn to read your child’s emotional cues and needs
Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
Enhance the development of your child's self esteem
Explore how your own early childhood experiences can impact your parenting
